The place where "La Ferraia" is situated has been appreciated since the Roman period. Close to the farmhouse and the road once connecting the regions Marche and Umbria some ruins of roman buildings (III century B.C. – V. Century A.C.) have been found. One might easily suppose that the name of the place (La Ferraia) recalls the existence of a smith or one of the Roman stations which were quite widespread at that time.
Today in the restored farmhouse you can enjoy the hospitality of the place, and in the old barn, turned into restaurant room you can taste the traditional cuisine of the Marche region.
